PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The handle butterfly valve has a butterfly disc installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. The disc rotates around its axis within the cylindrical passage of the valve body, with a rotation angle ranging from 0° to 90°. When the disc reaches 90°, the valve is fully open. This type of valve is typically installed horizontally.
The handle butterfly valve has a simple structure, compact size, and lightweight design, consisting of only a few parts. It can be quickly opened and closed by rotating 90°, making it easy to operate. Additionally, the valve offers good fluid control characteristics. When the valve is fully open, the thickness of the butterfly disc creates minimal resistance to the fluid passing through the valve body, resulting in a very low pressure drop and excellent flow control performance.
There are two types of sealing options for butterfly valves: elastic sealing and metal sealing. In elastic-sealed valves, the sealing ring can be embedded in the valve body or attached to the outer edge of the butterfly disc.
Metal-sealed valves generally have a longer lifespan than elastic-sealed valves but are more challenging to achieve a perfect seal. Metal seals can handle higher operating temperatures, while elastic seals have temperature limitations.
When using the butterfly valve for flow control, the key factor is the correct selection of the valve size and type. The structural principle of the butterfly valve makes it particularly suitable for large-diameter valves. Butterfly valves are widely used in various industries, including petroleum, natural gas, chemicals, and water treatment, as well as in cooling water systems for thermal power plants.
Common types of butterfly valves include the lug-type butterfly valve and the flanged butterfly valve. A lug-type butterfly valve is connected between two pipeline flanges using double-ended bolts, while a flanged butterfly valve has flanges at both ends of the valve body, which are bolted to the pipeline flanges.
